Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is your waitlist policy?

    inTension Pilates Waitlist Policy

At inTension Pilates, we strive to ensure that every member has a fair opportunity to attend their desired classes. To maintain an efficient and positive booking experience, please review and follow our waitlist policy:

    Waitlist Commitment

    • Please only add yourself to the waitlist if you are committed to attending the class. Adding yourself without the intention of attending may prevent other members from securing a spot and disrupts overall class availability.

    Cancellation Policy for Waitlisted Classes

    1. Added Inside 8 (eight) hours of class: If you are added to a class from the waitlist inside 8 (eight) hours of the class start time and cannot attend, you will not be charged.
    2. Added Outside 8 (eight) hours of class start: If you are added to a class from the waitlist outside 8 (eight) hours of class start and do not attend, the late cancel/no-show policy specific to your membership will apply. If you cannot attend, please remove yourself from the class clearing the way for the next person on the waitlist.
    3. When you’re upgraded from the waitlist to the class, you’ll receive an email confirmation as well as a text message (if subscribed).

Note: The waitlist closes 2 hours before the start of class. If you’re on the waitlist and haven’t received a notification, we encourage you to check the class for any available openings. If a spot becomes available, you can reserve the class directly at that time.

    Avoid Double-Booking

Please do not add yourself to multiple classes, including classes with waitlists. This prevents others from accessing spots and ensures fair access for all members and could lead to late cancel/no show fees.

  • What kind of pilates studio is inTension?

While we appreciate and often incorporate  traditional Pilates, inTension Pilates is all about high-intensity workouts. Our classes are designed to be both challenging and enjoyable, with a strong focus on resistance training. What sets us apart from other high-intensity Pilates studios is our variety—we offer muscle-specific classes, as well as cardio and stretch sessions. You can explore detailed descriptions of each class HERE.

We are not connected to any other Pilates methods— inTension Pilates is a unique method all its own!

  • What can I expect from an inTension Pilates class?

When you arrive, you'll step into our bright, clean, and welcoming lobby, where our front desk receptionist will greet you and direct you to the lockers for your belongings.

We recommend arriving at least 5 minutes (15 minutes prior if you are a first-time client)  before your scheduled class. This gives you time to grab a drink from our lobby fridge, change into your sticky socks, chat with fellow class members, and listen to any important announcements from your instructor before class begins.

Once class kicks off, you'll walk through the lobby’s glass doors into our vibrant studio—picture neon lights, beautifully-lit mirrors, energizing music, and a vibe that’s nothing but electric!

For the next 50 minutes, your instructor will guide you step-by-step through the specified workout for the day. In addition to hands-on coaching, you'll also have access to television screens around the studio displaying exercise demonstrations!

You’ll leave inTension Pilates feeling stronger, refreshed, and ready to take on the rest of your day.

  • What equipment do you use?

The XFormer is our secret weapon for a killer workout! It’s a next-level version of the traditional Pilates reformer, designed to add extra resistance and variety to your routine. With its adjustable springs and platforms, it lets you target multiple muscle groups, combining strength training, cardio, and flexibility all in one. Whether you're a beginner or more advanced, the XFormer adapts to your fitness level, giving you a challenging and fun workout every time!

Classes at inTension Pilates will also take your workout to the next level by incorporating mini bands, long resistance bands, and light dumbbells to give you the ultimate workout experience.

  • Are there any special offers for first-time clients?

We’re excited to welcome first-time clients to inTension Pilates! You can try a single drop-in class for $35, or take advantage of our special offer—two classes for just $40. The two classes must be used within two weeks of purchase.

  • How early should I arrive if it's my first class?

If it’s your first time, we recommend arriving at least 15 minutes early. Our front desk receptionist will walk you through an XFormer demo in the lobby, so you feel confident and ready before class begins. Sticky socks are a must for class and can be purchased right at the studio or you are welcome to bring your own.

  • Does inTension Pilates sell gift cards?

Yes!  You are welcome to purchase gift cards in-person or online. Our gift cards never expire and can be used to purchase classes or retail items.

  • What is your class cancellation policy?

The cancellation or change grace period depends on your membership or class pack. Higher-tier memberships offer a 6-hour cancellation window without penalty, while other options allow for a 12-hour cancellation window.

If you have a class pack and cancel within the allowed window, you’ll lose a class credit but won’t be charged a late cancellation fee.

For clients with an unlimited class membership, a $25 late cancellation fee will apply if you modify, cancel, or change your reservation within 12 hours of class time.

A $25 no-show fee will be charged if you don't attend a class you’re enrolled in.

We strictly enforce our cancellation policy to keep things fair and ensure everyone has a chance to join a class. We get that life happens and emergencies come up, but this policy helps respect those eager to snag a spot and keeps you accountable for staying on track with your fitness goals!
